We are proud to have over 200 junior members and we always welcome new members to the club.

Why Join Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club?
We are friendly and welcoming club who look to support our junior Mini Mighty Pinks to ensure they have a positive experience and can reach their potential. The club actively participates in both England and Midlands Hockey league and Cup competitions. We are proud of our teams achievements and compete in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions to provide the right level of competition for all.

Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club is recognised as:

*ClubsFirst club. (a national recognition for clubs that can demonstrate they are working towards minimum operating standards).
*Clubmark (a nationally recognised award for sports clubs)
*An England Hockey Talent Centre (A Talent Centre club is a club that provides high quality provision for players at early talent development level (Talent Foundations). This provision will be embedded within the club’s junior programme)

Due to the size of the club, we split training between both Wyndley Leisure Centre and Bishop Vesey Grammar School and offer dedicated goalkeeper training for the junior section

Age Groups
If you are unsure of what age group your child will fall into the please use the following as a guide:
Under 8s - Reception to year 3
Under 10s - year 4 and 5
Under 12s - year 6 and 7
Under 14s - year 8 and 9
Under 16s - year 10 and 11

Key Dates for the diary

Training is between the following dates:
1st September 2024 to 15th December 2024 & 5th January 2025 to 27th April 2025
Please note, training continues over the half term school breaks, additional sessions after Easter and during the Summer will be communicated separately

Membership Fees

Fees are paid via the club website either by monthly direct debit or as a lump sum. Fees for 2024/25 are currently being assessed.

New Juniors
Each new player will get four trial sessions to see if they wish to continue. Should they want to join, we can then sort out membership however if hockey is not for your child, there is nothing to pay, we just ask you to let us know so we can remove you from our system. As we post updates on social media regarding any cancelled training sessions due to adverse weather, we advise that parents follow us on one form of social media. Information will also be sent via Pitchero so it is important that notifications are allowed if possible.
