Junior Section

  • There have been lots of regional and national successes for junior teams. Congratulations to the U16 Girls for their outstanding performance to finish 3rd in National finals. U14 Boys have their National Finals in May, U12 Girls are at Midland Finals on the 28th April, U10 boys & girls are at Midland finals on the 21st April. Good luck to all teams. All other teams had successful seasons with a range of outstanding results.
  • The End of Season Junior awards event is planned for Sunday 19th May at the clubhouse. Full details will be shared with timings.
  • Thanks to Steve Russell for all his work as Junior Chair over the years, the section is in a really strong position. If anyone else is interested in joining the junior committee for next season, please contact Steve.

Senior playing matters

  • Congratulations to the Ladies 1s, who have achieved promotion back into the National Premier League. All ladies teams remained in their respective leagues, notably with the 2s finishing 4th (highest ever in Mids Prem), 4s in 5th (having only been promoted last season). Summer league starts this week at Olton and the Cannock league in a couple of weeks. A reminder to complete the ladies survey by Monday 22nd if you haven’t already https://forms.office.com/e/ewPJbcA2Sv.
  • Following additional relegations from National League, the men’s 1s have unfortunately been relegated, despite a good season in Mids Prem. The 4s achieved promotion prior to the end of season and the 3s missed out on promotion due goal difference, with all other teams competing well in leagues.
  • The Ladies O35s are into the finals of the EH Cup on Saturday 4th May, 2pm at Lee Valley. All Mighty Pink support is appreciated. Congratulations also to all members who won Masters Indoor medals representing their country recently.
  • GMS reminder: please log onto GMS and update your profile to ‘allow consent’ if you want your name to be visible on the Midlands website for goal scorers etc.
