Mandy joined Sutton Hockey club aged 13 alongside Jane Sixsmith on the old Monmouth Rd playing fields and has been with the club 37 years. Her highlight with the club was winning gold at European Cup Winners Cup in 1992.
Mandy had a fantastic international career from 1988 to 1998 which included 94 caps for England including captaincy in 1997 and 87 caps for GB.
She represented her country at the the European Cup 1991 where the team won gold, the World Cup in 1994, the European Cup 1995 Champions Trophy and the Atlanta 1996 Olympics where the team came 4th. And more recently at Masters level winning the Over 45s plate.
For past 10 years Mandy has been involved with junior coaching and more recently senior coaching with a focus on developing juniors and helping them progress up through the ranks.
When asked about taking on the role of first team coach she said "I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of coaching Sutton Ladies 1st team. The club has a great history in the National League and one we should all feel rightly proud of. I look forward to building on the potential that the players have shown over the past few years and will aim to develop a team that is able to compete for promotion both now and in the future"
