Finance & Subscriptions
● We are still looking for volunteers to support the finance team. Please contact Matt Jones.
● All subscriptions for the 2024-25 season have been allocated on Pitchero, please ensure payment for these is set up as soon as possible. The bolt-on charge for performance players in both the men’s and women’s sections will be applied shortly.

Kit
● Kit orders made in the previous order window will be distributed during the weekend ⅞ September.
● The club is exploring ways of simplifying the kit ordering process. If you are able to volunteer some time to support the kit team, please contact comms@suttoncoldfieldhc.co.uk.

Junior Section
● The new season started on Sunday 1 September, with training sessions for age groups . Junior training sessions are set up on Pitchero for parents/carers to set availability for junior players.
● Junior EH cup competitions have been entered and entries for the Midlands competitions are being organised.

Senior Section
● Welcome to Sam Rees, the new men’s 1s coach. Good luck for the season ahead.
● In line with England Hockey senior teams, the ladies section will now be known as the women’s section. Pitchero etc will be re-labelled accordingly and all communications moving forwards will be updated to reflect the reference to women's hockey.
● Club Day is Saturday 7th September. The men are playing at Bishop Vesey and the women will be at Wyndley. See Pitchero for details of timings and please contact club captains Gareth Griffiths (men) and Becky Batsford-Webb (women) if you are unsure.
● League fixtures start on Saturday 28th September for all teams, bar the Women’s 1st XI who kick off their National Prem campaign on 21st September, away at Birmingham University.
● SCHC are submitting entries for the Men’s 1st XI, Women’s O35s, Women’s O45s and Men’s O35s EH Cup competitions. Mixed team tbc.

Socials
● Saturday 7th September: Club Day BBQ, 6pm onwards at the clubhouse. Tickets cost £5 each and are available on Pitchero.

AOB
● Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Flyerz hockey, especially Emily Peers and Matt FJ who have led on coaching.
● Walking hockey is continuing to grow in popularity, with 15-20 attending every week.
● The club is investing in a new VEO camera with the ability to live stream and record matches.
