Following the announcement by George’s to retire as the Vet’s hockey Captain. The Vet’s fraternity turn out to say a Big THANK YOU for all his tireless hard work for the Vet’s over 35’s’ 45’s, 50’s, organisation of fixtures for all vet’s teams, including ladies and mixed fixtures, friendly games and after game entertainment. over more years than most people can remember.

The event took place at Regards in Boldmere, where George was greeted by his friends. Some say, they saw a tear, but this may just end up being a story teller’s tail, in the years to come. During the evening, George was presented with a Tankard in remembrance of George’s immense contribution to the Club by David Ough, New Vet’s Captain

A great time was had by all. Also a few hangovers may have emerged in the morning after. Naming no names.
